Do you struggle to advocate for your child while they are at school. Is your child's school not allowing certain foods or drinks on school premises - which is affecting your child's ability to eat or drink because they have a diagnosed eating disorder (ED).
Are the teacher's removing items from your child's lunch box or tipping out their drinks. This is called food tampering and can be seen as the abuse of a minor; as it constitutes a type of torture where the victim is denied basic needs (food and water). If your child can only eat specific things that you send with them (due to ARFID or another ED or disability)- then those things are classed as disability tools and are protected under the law.
No school policy (healthy eating plan or food policy) can supersede disability discrimination law. ED's form part of international disability law (under the UNCRPD and optional protocol for most countries worldwide) as they are part of the DSM 5 and ICD 11.
This waterproof sticker is made to be placed on lunchboxes or drink bottles to remind carers of your children- that they don't have the right to interfere with a child's human rights (eg: their rights to food and drinks given by their parent).
Eating disorders can be serious and life threatening. Carers or teachers do not have the knowledge, training, or right to interfere with your child's medical plan, eating plan or 'safe foods'. Let them know - explicitly - that you will not tolerate any interference with this easy-to-use sticker. Each purchase comes with 5 stickers. Sticker does not have a watermark (watermark that is transparent in photo is only used for this website)
